Since 2016, 42 Black colleges and universities have joined the ICB network as transformation partners to advance strategic priorities through institutional collaboration. ICB has received funding for transformation partnerships from Lilly Endowment, Ascendium Foundation, Blue Meridian Partners and JPMorgan Chase.
An HBCU is a federally-designated Historically Black College or University operating autonomously and receiving federal funding. A PBI is any institution that qualifies based on the federal definition.
