Deshon Burgess manages multiple programs and stakeholders at partnering institutions and is responsible for building strong relationships and executing strategic projects with faculty, staff, and executive-level institutional leaders.

A first-generation college graduate, Deshon is devoted to ensuring all students have an equal opportunity to attain an excellent education. He joined Teach For America, where he taught science, and then served as a college readiness program manager, where he led programming for first-generation students. 

Deshon earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Union College in New York. When he isn’t delivering projects, you can find him in the gym, on a trail, or teaching his dog new tricks.
